"Hey Jude"

This week I've decided to talk about the song "Hey Jude" by the Beatles. "Hey Jude," was written by John McCartney and credited to John Lennon, and sung by the Beatles. The song was originally called "Hey Jules" because it was written  to comfort Lennon's son during his divorce with his mother. McCartney changed the title to "Hey Jude", because McCartney felt it was easier to sing Jude instead of Jules. This is not the only interpretation of the meaning behind the song.  Paul wrote this song for John's son, Julian, during John and Cynthia's divorce. It was initially going to be called "Hey Jules."
John, however, thought it was written for him, supporting his relationship with Yoko.

Julian, (Lennon's Son). admitted to McCartney, that he felt closer to him than he did to his father, while growing up. "Hey Jude," is the Beatles longest running song, running at 7 minutes and 11 seconds. This was the first song released on Apple Records, the record label owned by The Beatles. It was recorded at the Trident Studios, London, on July 31 and August 1, 1968 with a 36 piece orchestra. Orchestra members clapped and sang on the fadeout.

Hey Jude

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Na na na, na na, na na na na

Hey Jude, don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you? Hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Na na na, na na, na na na na, yeah

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
Better, better, better, better, better, oh!

Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude

Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude

Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
